By now, almost all of us know about the man who committed suicide last night in the Masjid al-Haram by jumping from the third floor of Mataaf which resulted in his immediate death. The incident took place at 9:20 pm on Friday night 8th of June 2018.
It is evident from the viral video given at the end of this page that the man committed suicide and there was no criminal act involved. However, authorities have been investigating the case before reaching any ultimate solution.
Moreover, it is also worth mentioning that this is not the first case of its nature in Masjid al-Haram. Even last year someone tried to commit suicide in Makkah but authorities stopped him.
Who was He? There have been a lot of speculations about the identity of the man who committed suicide. Many news agencies claimed that the guy was a Pakistani as he was wearing a traditional Pakistani dress called Shalwar Qameez but all of them proved wrong.

However, it has been evident from the government records that he was scheduled to come to Saudi Arabia on 15th of June and he had booked hotels in Makkah and Madina for 5 days only.
