It looks like there's isn't an end in sight for the number of issues cropping up with the Pixel 2 XL smartphone. Another new complaint has popped up on the Google Product Forum claiming the audio quality in recorded videos is not up to the mark.

"My New Pixel 2 XL sound quality is very bad when I am shooting a video. The sound seems like I am in a tin can very High pitch," said one of the users. Several other users confirmed the issue and said they too are facing it.

However, a community specialist commented on the forum and asked users to try recording video after switching of the NFC feature. It can be done from the smartphone's Settings app.

Another community manager said that this could be a software-related issue. But if it happens all the time then it may be a hardware issue. "If it happens only occasionally, then there might be something software related that is interfering with the way audio is getting recorded. If it happens all the time, then it might be a hardware issue, unfortunately," he said.

Google is, however, aware of the issue and has told CNET that it will be fixed in a software update, which will be rolled out soon.
For now, no such complaints have been faced with the Pixel 2 smartphone.

Google recently also talked about the screen issues several Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL users have been facing lately. Google community manager Mario Queiroz gave an explanation on the screen tint issue and muted colour issue at length on the Google's Product Forum.
Talking about the issue where Pixel 2 smartphones were showing 'muted' colours, it has been mentioned that it was an intentional step by the company. The firm wants to show more natural colours on the pOLED screen. However, if users want a more saturated screen, they can activate the 'vivid' option in the handset. The options boosts colour saturation by 10%.

As for the screen burn-in issue, Google is already investigating on the issue and might be rolling out updates to optimise the display further.
