IKEA Place And Apple Make Shopping For Furniture Surreal

Augmented reality is no longer something out of a fantasy or sci-fi fiction, in fact, now it is something that marketers use to push their products in an interactive style.

IKEA Place is a new and revolutionary app by Ikea and Apple that makes shopping for the home a completely different experience.

Using this new technology developed by Apple, users can now preview how the furniture looks in their house via an augmented reality technology. The advanced technology helps in placing the furniture in different parts of the room using the camera of your device. This app will superimpose the furniture into the frame captured by your phone camera and lets you see for real how the furniture looks.

No more regrets and guess work with interior décor and furniture shopping, courtesy Ikea Place and Apple. Apple’s new iOS 11 update due in October will allow the use of IKEA Place. Stay tuned.
