When you're heading home from a night out with friends, sharing an Uber often makes a lot of sense. However, up until now, you'd have to verbally tell your driver you were going to make a few stops, and then input a new address each time someone gets out of the car. It's a process that works, but tends to be pretty frustrating for both you and the driver. 

According to Mashable , starting today you can add up to three different stops within the Uber app for a single trip, so your driver will just know where you and your co-rider want to go without a lengthy negotiation over routes. 

Adding multiple stops is pretty easy and intuitive. When you type the first address in the "Where To?" box at the top of the page, you just need to press the + sign within the box to add another address, and another.

nce added, your driver will make the stops in the order in which they were added to the app. That means you and your friends should plot out what order makes sense before you start adding addresses into the app, just as you (hopefully) would if giving directions in a regular cab. 

Addresses can be added or removed while you're in the middle of a ride as well (although that sounds like a quick way to irritate your driver) and will be updated in real time with your driver's driving directions. 

And just as you have in the past, you can also split the ride within the app with your friends, so you're all sharing the cost.

Using the feature requires the latest version of Uber's app. If you don't see the option, try updating your app for access (the update will be pushed out to all users over the next week).
