The eighth edition of the Julius Baer Gold Cup, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, is set to be one of the most glamorous sporting events of the year. Held under the umbrella of the 2017 Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series, the tournament has an 18-goal handicap, and in 2015 was upgraded from ‘Challenge Cup’ status to ‘World Polo Tour’ status by the World Polo Tour committee. Synonymous with elegance and tradition, the Julius Baer Gold Cup will see royalty, celebrities and VIPs in attendance, cheering their preferred teams to victory. The final day of the cup will be especially eventful, with top entertainment acts, VIP luncheons, and the Gold Lounge party which attracts the who’s who of Dubai’s social scene.
