Former OFW in Dubai arrested for refusing to pay Php10,000 bill in bar

A former overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Dubai was arrested by authorities on Monday, June 18, after refusing to pay his Php10,000 bill in a bar in Quezon City.

According to the manager of the bar, the unnamed OFW was able to pay for his initial bill of Php6,000, but he refused to settle the second bill for the drinks and food that he and his seven friends consumed, which amounted to Php9,400, reported ABS-CBN News.

The OFW was brought to the nearest police station where he gave his watch and cash valued at Php4,000 to serve as partial payment for his unsettled bill.
