Man dead for 3 years books 2 nights in Dubai hotel

A man has been charged with impersonating an Emirati national who has been dead for three years.

According to 24, 27-year-old is also accused of forging a booking for a lodging room in Dubai in the dead man's name using his Emirates ID.

In the records, the arraignment uncovered that an individual had booked room 406 at an inn for two successive evenings and paid in real money.

After the second night, the hotel receptionist called the individual's room to inquire whether he would be extending his stay, but the man didn't pick up.

To follow-up, the receptionist called the man's mobile number and another person answered the phone. He informed him that the name of the person he was inquiring about had been dead for three years.

Frightened, the secretary called the police and educated them of the circumstance.

Within minutes, they had arrived at the hotel and arrested the fraudster.
