US Military Stays Near Iran During Fragile Ceasefire

US President Donald Trump made a strong statement late Wednesday. He promised to keep American military forces stationed near Iran. Troops will stay until both sides reach a real agreement. The fragile two-week ceasefire has just begun.

Early Signs of Trouble

The recent Tuesday truce already shows signs of strain. Israel continues bombing Lebanon right now. Washington also contradicts several Iranian demands. Leaders still plan to hold formal talks soon.

Trump Issues Strong Warning

Trump posted his direct thoughts on his Truth Social platform. He ordered all US ships and aircraft to hold their positions. He wants soldiers completely ready with extra weapons and ammunition.

The US President doubts the peace deal will completely fail. However, he threatened bigger and stronger strikes if negotiations collapse. He says the American military currently rests and prepares for action.

Strait of Hormuz Dispute

Iran agreed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz temporarily. One-fifth of global oil normally passes through this vital chokepoint. However, Iranian leaders claim they still maintain full dominion over it.

Conflicting Nuclear Demands

Iranian state media also circulated a Farsi-language list of demands. The Islamic Republic insists Washington must accept its uranium enrichment program. Iranian officials completely excluded this specific demand from their official United Nations release.

Negotiators will meet in Pakistan very soon to discuss terms. Trump confidently addressed the controversial enrichment issue today. He firmly stated Iran will never possess nuclear weapons. He also guaranteed a safe and open Strait of Hormuz.
