2-month-old baby dies mid-flight after medical emergency

The crew called for help when the infant felt seriously ill.

A two-month baby died tragically died on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Perth on Monday.

The baby suffered a medical episode on board the AirAsia flight. The crew called for help when it felt seriously ill, according to DailyMail.

When the plane arrived at Perth International Airport at 5.30am, it was met by police, paramedics and airport authorities. 

 

'Looks like the doctor/paramedic and police officers have come out from the aircraft,' a fellow traveller wrote on Twitter.

AirAsia release a statement saying they won't be further commenting on the death of the baby.

'Our thoughts are with the infant and family involved,' their  statement read.
