Mumbai Brought To A Halt Due To Heavy Rains

It’s that time of the year again when we see the business capital of India completely flooded with water. Mumbai has witnessed heavy rainfall in the past week and this trend continued on Tuesday and is expected to be worse today. There were several low-lying areas which were affected as traffic was brought to a halt in these areas.

Mumbai International Airport also remained inactive until today and 56 flights were diverted. Train services have resumed after the Western Railways trains were canceled on Tuesday. The India Meteorological Department had already warned on Sunday that Mumbai is set to receive heavy rainfall until Friday. A high tide warning has also been issued for Wednesday.
Check your phone for information regarding the rains before stepping out and plan your route accordingly.
