He hoped his act would motivate others to help the police.

An Asian expat in UAE was honoured by the police for his act of bravery.

In a statement issued by Sharjah Police on Tuesday, a Pakistani man was honoured for helping the police arrest a wanted person.

The police posted a picture of the brave man on social media as he was being honoured by Brigadier Abdullah Mubarak Bin Amir, Deputy General Commander of Sharjah Police.

The Pakistani man was identified as Muzaffar Hussain Nathar.

Muzaffar was recognised for his act of bravery as he informed the police and followed a wanted robber, until the police arrived at the scene and arrested him.

Such behavior represents the positive role of the society members, Brigadier Amir said.

Muzaffar thanked the police for the honour, adding that he hope his act motivates others to cooperate with the police.
