The festive season box office is always a crowded and competitive space. However, one of Tamil cinema's biggest names chose to take a step back. Dhanush confirmed his film 'OM: Chapter 1' will not open on October 16. The major reason is the arrival of Rajinikanth's massive blockbuster, Jailer 2.

Jailer 2 is officially set for a massive release on October 15. A box office clash between the two huge releases seemed absolutely certain. On Wednesday, Dhanush ended that stressful possibility with a respectful social media post.

He stated the new date was a sincere mark of regard.

He called Rajinikanth a legendary actor the entire industry has worshipped for decades. Dhanush admitted that moving a major film this close to release is difficult. "Our superstar, Rajinikanth sir... has his film arriving just a day before ours."

He explained they decided to postpone out of immense professional respect. Fans of both actors praised the mature decision online immediately. The delay guarantees both films will get the massive audiences they truly deserve.
