A Brave Opening Fight
Croatia played an incredibly brave first half today. They fought the English heavyweights to a thrilling 2-2 draw initially. Harry Kane scored an early penalty for the European giants. Martin Baturina answered with a vicious strike to equalize. Kane restored the English lead with a towering header shortly after. Petar Musa then scored a dramatic equalizer during first-half stoppage time. Croatia looked completely capable of securing a massive upset.
Running Out of Gas
The intense physical effort eventually destroyed the Croatian stamina. They completely collapsed after the halftime break. Jude Bellingham punished their tired legs immediately in the 47th minute. He powered through the defense and smashed a brilliant goal. Croatia chased the game desperately but failed to create dangerous chances. Goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic made several miraculous saves to keep them alive.
The Final Blow
Manager Zlatko Dalic emptied his bench hoping for a late miracle. He replaced legendary midfielder Luka Modric with Mateo Kovacic. These desperate changes completely failed to stop the English momentum. England introduced fresh attackers to exploit the heavy Croatian legs. Marcus Rashford buried a calm finish in the 85th minute. This final goal completely broke the fighting spirit of Croatia. They simply lacked the physical endurance to survive ninety minutes.
