Copa America: Qatar to face Argentina in Brazil
World Cup 2022 hosts Qatar will confront Argentina in this present summer's Copa America.
Qatar - who alongside Japan are visitors at the competition in Brazil - will play in their first competition outside of Asia.
Japan were drawn in the same group as Uruguay and defending champions Chile.
The competition begins in Brazil on 14 June.
Who will play who in the Copa America?
Group A: Brazil, Bolivia, Venezuela, Peru
Group B: Argentina, Colombia, Paraguay, Qatar
Group C: Uruguay, Ecuador, Japan, Chile
For what reason are Japan and Qatar in it?
A honestly incredible inquiry.
Since 1993 Conmebol - the South American Football Combination - have welcomed two groups from somewhere else on the planet to play in each Copa to make up the numbers for a 12-group competition. Prior to at that point, the 10 groups from Conmebol who naturally qualify were part into two groups of five.
Mexico and Costa Rica are the groups to have shown up, with this present summer's version the principal finals that Mexico have missed since 1993.
Initially there were intended to be 16 groups in the current year's finals, with six Asian groups participate. Notwithstanding, the organization was cut back to the typical 12 with Japan and 2022 World Cup has Qatar tolerating solicitations.
Japan have played in the Copa previously - neglecting to explore their group in 1999 - while Qatar are making their debut.
