Trump Rejects Iran Peace Proposal as Diplomacy Stalls

US President Donald Trump rejected Iran's latest peace proposal today. He expressed deep dissatisfaction with their diplomatic offer. Iran offered to reopen the Strait of Hormuz completely. However, they refused to include a new nuclear agreement.

Iran Blames Washington for Failure

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi traveled to Russia today. He met directly with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Saint Petersburg. Araghchi blamed the United States for the failed peace talks. He cited excessive American demands as the primary roadblock.

Iranian officials firmly insisted that Washington cannot dictate global policies anymore. A defense ministry spokesman stated that independent nations will reject irrational American demands. Iran also signaled its readiness to share defensive weapons with Asian partners.

US Defends Naval Blockade

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio defended the ongoing naval blockade. He stated the blockade specifically targets Iranian shipping. Rubio wants to stop Iran from illegally profiting off the vital strait. He noted that true Iranian regime change must happen from within.

In other news, Iranian authorities revised the death toll from the Minab school strike. Officials confirmed the tragic February strike killed 155 people.
