Oman rolls out online visa application for tourist

Tourists planning to visit Oman can apply for visas at the comforts of their home through the government’s E-visa website at https://evisa.rop.gov.om/.

Tourists will only need to fill up the form online and attach the necessary travel documents, then pay the fee by credit card through an officially certified Global Payment Gateway. Applicants will receive notifications via email.

“The Sultanate’s announcement of the eVisa system will ensure the continuous growth of Oman’s tourism sector in the coming years as this provides not only tourists but also investors, businessmen, researchers and students easier access to visa processing,” Gulf News quoted Salim Adi Al Mamari, Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Tourism, Oman, as saying..

Number of tourist arrivals to the Sultanate reached about three million last year.
