This oyster farm an hour north of San Francisco, isn’t your typical California bivalve joint. Visitors buy sacks of oysters or clams freshly plucked from Tomales Bay, which they then shuck themselves. Bring some snacks, snag a picnic table, and throw your harvest on the grill; or, better yet, eat them straight out of the shell.
