Anushka Sharma made her debut in Bollywood as the unforgettable “Tani Partner’ in the movie ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’. Her debut was opposite the Badshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan.
She says that her initial time in the industry was spent playing the typical outspoken, bubbly girl, however, she has transcended beyond herself and can no longer identify with such roles. The change in her acting preferences can be looked at as professional growth, but the actor feels this change confuses people around her who believe she has become a different person.
Teaming up with Shahrukh Khan for the third time in her career in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, she has become one of the most sought after female actors in the industry in a very short amount of time.
Anushka said about Imtiaz's films that she likes his approach towards women characters and how he turns something so usual in to unusual things. According to her, there is a lot of discussion about women equality and rights but she still belongs to the generation that is quite rooted and is looking for independence.
