ABS-CBN Kapamilya Star Janella Salvador is set to make the country proud as she was chosen to sing “How Far I’ll Go”, the theme song for Disney’s upcoming animated film, Moana.

Salvador will be featured singing the song in the movie’s Philippine music video release. Disney also chose singers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam to sing the song in their own countries.

The animated film Moana is about an adventurous young lady who will do anything to save the people living on her island. Another notable character in the film is Mawi, a demigod who will be portrayed by Hollywood actor and former wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The film will premiere in the Philippines on the 30th of November.
