Expats in Oman arrested for illegally preparing food

A number of expats were arrested during a raid in Al Shareega, Al Seeb for preparing foods illegally out of a residential home.

According to an online statement by Muscat Municipality, "The home was used by expatriate workers as a base out of which to prepare Mishakeek (traditional meat skewers). The workers were also using the building as their residence and sleeping area."

The statement explained that the raid was carried out by "the General Directorate of Al Seeb, represented by the Urban Inspection Unit and the Legal Unit."
