Iran Hit by Earthquake

 A second and third earthquake, measuring 5.0 and 4.1 on the Richter scale respectively, hit Iran on Thursday afternoon.

 

The first was 220 kilometres away from northern Oman, while the second was 205 kilometes away.

This came after an earthquake measuring 5.2 struck Iran this morning, 330 kilometres from Khasab in the Musandam Governorate.

The SQU Earthquake Monitoring Centre reported "an earthquake measuring 5.0 struck southern Iran at 2:52pm Oman local time, 220 kilometres away from the Musandam Governorate."

A second announcement read "an earthquake measuring 4.1 struck southern Iran at 3:10pm Oman local time, 205 kilometres away from the Musandam Governorate."
