Covid-19: Minister of State holds meeting with officials in Dhofar

His Excellency the Minister of State has met with the Governor of Dhofar and officials of the military and civil government authorities in the Dhofar Governorate on Monday.

Following are the details discussed:

1- Thanks to all parties in the Dhofar Governorate for the efforts made in addressing the Corona pandemic 19.

2- Continue to work at the current pace, which showed its activities.



3- The cancellation of the Salalah Tourism Festival for the year 2020.

4- Commitment to continuing to stay at home and not go out unless necessary.



5- Emphasizing that the foodstuffs are abundant in the markets and meet all the needs of consumers.

6- The government authorities in the governorate are all working with extraordinary efforts.

7- Thanks to all citizens and residents for maintaining their cooperation with the government's directives wholeheartedly for their safety so that this pandemic may pass on the Sultanate to the good, God willing.

8- His Excellency praised the symbiotic societal initiatives and directed that their distribution in the wilayats in the governorate be through coordination with the offices of their Highnesses the Walies and the deputy Walies.

9- It is absolutely necessary to maintain public safety and not open the way for gatherings, His Excellency directed the cancellation of tents of fasting breakfast and for not depriving those in charge of reward, so they can coordinate through them with specialists in the Municipality of Dhofar.

10- Interest to provide food for expat workers in their housing sites due to the loss of their jobs until this pandemic is evident, in order to protect them and not to move and their movements in the neighborhoods of the governorate to avoid them to not contact with citizens.
