Filipino expat killed in horrific gliding accident

It was his first time in Georgia.

In a tragic accident, a 38-year-old overseas Filipino worker (OFW) died while paragliding in Gudauri, Georgia. Identified as Bryan Vale De Guzman, the OFW had been working in Saudi Arabia for ten years and was on a vacation in Georgia with friends.

According The Filipino Times, De Guzman fell on to a rocky river after his paraglider malfunctioned, his family said. It was his first trip to Georgia and he was with his friends. Local police has launched a probe into the death, while De Guzman's kin are awaiting the repatriation of his remains.
