Muslim religion give permission to have more than one wife, as long as they can provide for both families. This law is against for Christians and other non-Muslims.

In the Philippines, there is no divorce. Instead of divorce, the couple can file for annulment. Compared to divorce the process of annulment is more tedious and difficultbecause unlike in divorce, you just can’t say you have broken up due to irreconcilable differences.

An overseas Filipino worker converted into Islam so that he could marry his mistress. But he seemingly found a loophole in this process. His outraged first wife went to Raffy Tulfo to seek help, and she revealed that it’s a huge insult that he converted to Islam so he could take on a second wife who turned out to be the first wife’s cousin!

The husband agreed with the financial issue but he claimed that Jocelyn does not know how to handle money and wasn’t even able to put up savings even when he had spent many years as OFW.

Jimmy insisted that his second is valid because he’s now a Muslim. His first wife said that she will file a bigamy case against him and adultery charges against her cousin because she had not given consent to their marriage.

Netizens took the side of Jocelyn, despite her shortcomings as a wife; after all, no matter how modern people have become these days, the Philippines is still a rather conservative country and Filipinos still frown upon those who commit adultery, especially with their partner’s relatives.
