The region currently boasts a massive combined gross domestic product of $3.37 trillion. The total ASEAN population also recently surpassed an incredible 685 million people. Castro strongly emphasized the importance of total unity among all member states. The Philippines is currently preparing to host the 49th ASEAN Summit this November. Officials work tirelessly to ensure these crucial upcoming meetings yield positive results. Member states clearly see how cooperation leads directly to stability and prosperity.
