The internet celebrity Xander Ford was invited to be one of the guest performers for the Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan festival in Kalibo, Aklan.
The festival organizer of the Sto. Nino Ati-Atihan foundation, Inc. (KASAFI) in Kalibo announced that they invited the YouTube sensation Xander Ford to a guest performer during the coronation night of Ati-atihan Festival King 2018.
Kasafi chairman Albert Menez said that their decision to invite the celebrity because of his popularity in the social media.
Menez also assured that the celebration of the Ati-atihan Festival in Kalibo would be safer and happier, which will start on January 12 up to January 21, 2018.
Xander Ford is formerly known as Marlou Arizala, a former member of the boy band “Hasht5” who rose to fame after announcing that he will undergo a cosmetic surgery to improve his physical appearance.
The 21-year-old internet sensation has been also involved in different issues and controversies with some celebrities.
The controversial video of Xander Ford body shaming the Filipina actress Kathryn Bernardo has been one of the most discussed topics last year.
He was also reportedly gone missing a few months ago, according to the talent agency managing him. Eventually, the celebrity revealed that he only took a break from everything to give time for himself.
Those controversies made the YouTube novelty one of the most trending topics in the social media in 2017.
