Qatar, the host of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, is creating a safe and healthy working environment for all workers.
“Qatar pays a great attention to employee’s health and safety,” Dr Saleh al Marri, Assistant Minister of Health Affairs at the Ministry of Public Health said at the “Launching of the month of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH)” conference on Tuesday.
Organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Health, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairsand with support of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the conference is part of the efforts to improve and enhance work environment and ensure employees’ health and safety.
Marri stressed on the importance of acting in a proactive manner to maintain employees’ health at work and delivering the necessary services for employees to maintain their physical and psychological wellness.
