Weird stories of marital disputes from across the Arab world often go so viral that they reach the West. Now, this one too has the potential for that.
In a tragic incident that took place in Mecca earlier this week, a Saudi man set himself on fire during an argument with his wife, Sabq news site reported.
The neighbors rushed in and managed to douse the fire.
However, the man has been inflicted with severe burns.
Paramedics and police officers soon arrived at the scene and transferred the man to a local hospital immediately.
Meanwhile, the woman has been taken into custody and a formal investigation has been launched into the case.
