For the kids: Galleria’s children’s driving school
The Galleria on Al Maryah Island is gearing up to welcome friends and family to a special race themed event, ahead of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Children are invited to meet young Emirati professional race car drivers, Amna and Hamda Al Qubaisi for some inspiring tips, before putting their skills into action on the racing track.
This weekend, starting today, children aged 4 to 11, will be offered complimentary driving classes. Once trained, they will suit up for a ‘driving test’ on the specially formulated driving track outside on the spectacular waterfront promenade. A dedicated children’s arts and crafts area will also be set up for kids to test their creative skills with clay car moulding, mug drawing and painting, and car-themed colouring. On Thursday 16th November, from 5pm till 8pm, Amna and Hamda will start their engines with the little ones, giving them a jump start on mastering their racing skills.
