Dubai Design Week will return to Dubai Design District (d3) from November 3 to 8, 2026, bringing together designers, architects, artists and creative professionals for its 12th edition. The six-day event will feature exhibitions, architectural installations, workshops, talks and interactive experiences. Visitors will have opportunities to explore new ideas across contemporary design, traditional craft, technology and architecture. General festival admission is free, making the event accessible to audiences of different ages and backgrounds.
Exhibitions and Installations to Transform Dubai Design District
This year’s programme will showcase creative projects exploring how design shapes public spaces, communication and everyday experiences. Highlights include experimental architectural installations, material-focused exhibitions and projects inspired by regional heritage and international craftsmanship. The Urban Commissions programme will feature a project called Three Gardens and a Room, designed by Dubai-based NAO Architects. The UAE Designer Exhibition will also return under the theme Inherited Futures, highlighting how traditional materials and practices can inspire contemporary design.
Workshops, Talks and Creative Activities for Visitors
Visitors can participate in hands-on workshops covering different creative disciplines, with sessions led by designers, independent makers and educational institutions. Talks and discussions will bring together professionals from architecture, interiors and the wider creative industries. The festival will also feature interactive activations that encourage visitors to engage with design beyond traditional exhibition spaces. These activities aim to create opportunities for learning, collaboration and discovering emerging talent from the UAE and international creative communities.
Downtown Design and Weekend Marketplace Add More Attractions
Downtown Design, a major contemporary design fair, will run from November 4 to 8, showcasing international brands, regional designers and new creative concepts. Unlike the main festival, the fair has separate ticketing arrangements. The Dubai Design Week Marketplace will take place on November 7 and 8, featuring independent makers, homeware, jewellery, fashion and handcrafted products. With its mix of free public programming, specialist exhibitions and shopping experiences, Dubai Design Week 2026 is set to offer a wide-ranging celebration of creativity and design.
