How to Report Unpaid Salaries Anonymously in the UAE

Private sector salaries in the UAE are officially due on the first day of every month. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation introduced these strict rules recently. The changes take effect starting June 1.

Stricter Wage Protection Rules

Employers must transfer previous salaries through the Wage Protection System. Any late payment legally qualifies as a delayed salary now. Companies face severe administrative consequences for missing these deadlines.

Authorities issue official warnings to employers starting the second day. Companies face work permit restrictions by the fifth day of delay.

Using the Salary Complaint Portal

You can file a complaint through the My Salary Complaint portal. This excellent service allows workers to report violations completely confidentially. The employer never learns who filed the official complaint.

This anonymity protects you from losing your job unfairly. The complaint triggers an official government investigation into the company payment practices.

Filing Your Complaint Online

You need a valid Emirates ID and your labor card number. You submit your personal information through the official MOHRE application. The system sends a one time password to confirm your identity securely.

MOHRE reviews your complaint and passes it to the Labour Inspection Department. Inspectors visit your employer to verify the issue without mentioning your name. The entire resolution process usually takes around 14 days.

Workers should gather evidence like bank statements and employment contracts beforehand. Employees in free zones must report issues to their specific mediation office first.
