A father in Kentucky is being charged with murder after he allegedly struck his infant son on the head in frustration after losing a video game.
The Louisville Metro Police Department said that the father was home alone with the infant. He allegedly struck the one-month-old son with the control device after he lost, People reported.
The father then reportedly dropped the infant as he carried him into the kitchen to prepare his feeding bottle.
Police said that he left the infant in the bedroom with a bottle and stepped away to use the bathroom. When he returned, he found the baby in distress. The father then called 911.
The father was charged with first-degree criminal child abuse and later the charge was upgraded to murder after the infant passed away.
Bail is set at $1 million cash-only for the father.
