The officials held a closed door meeting lasting over an hour. They discussed strengthening the comprehensive global strategic partnership between both nations. They focused heavily on defense cooperation trade and regional security.
Rubio extended an official invitation on behalf of President Donald Trump. He invited PM Modi to visit the White House very soon. PM Modi stated both countries will continue working closely for global good.

US Ambassador Sergio Gor called the extensive meeting highly productive. He reaffirmed that India remains a vital partner to the United States. He noted that shared values anchor the strong diplomatic relationship.
Rubio also visited the Missionaries of Charity headquarters in Kolkata earlier today. He wore a traditional yellow garland and prayed alongside the local nuns. The Secretary discussed aiding the homeless and terminally ill with the charity workers.

The Secretary will also participate in upcoming Quad foreign minister meetings soon. This strategic grouping includes Australia India Japan and the United States.
