Alden Richards had been known by his baby like good looks and his cute looking dimples. His fame escalated when he was paired with Maine Mendoza in the Kalyeserye portion of the noontime Kapuso TV show Eat Bulaga. With this Kalyeserye, his loveteam with main, he was able to capture the hearts not only with the teens but with a lot of Filipinos all over the world. He also starred in films, and teleseryes, and had a recording album.
He was also compared to several celebrities like the late Rico Yan, Kapamilya stars John Lloyd Cruz, and the teen Joshua Garcia. And that we can never avoid. There will really be someone who would look like our twin regardless whether we are relatives or not.
Recently, a photo went viral because someone was mistaken as the “Pambansang Bae” holding a christening ceremony at Pangasinan. Some mistaken that the priest is Alden Richards, and netizens are surprised seeing an Alden look-a-like. Some netizens remarked that they might attend the mass regularly if he will be the one to officiate the mass.
The one who upload the photo captioned it as, “Pag balik ng cellphone ko nagulat ako sa nakita ko. Yung father kamukha ni Alden. Tsk! Sana umuwi na lang kami at umattend ng binyag. Bag Patt, pakasal na tayo ulit sa Pangasinan. #whysopogifather” She lent her phone to someone and when her phone was returned, and she scrolled the pictures in her gallery, she was amazed seeing a photo of the priest who looked like Alden Richards. She sounds regretful for not attending the christening, and so, she jokingly asked her husband to get married again in Pangasinan.
Some people are still in awe of the charm of this priest, that some felt sad because he might be wasting his good looks, and he was finally named as Rev. Joseph Panaligan, because having vowed to celibacy due to priesthood will not give him a chance for procreation. Nonetheless, he might have sought his true calling by serving the church. But people are still ecstatic having a selfie with him whenever they got the chance.
