Central Bank issues commemorative Dh1 coins, Dh100 bills on UAE National Day

In celebration of the ‘Year of Zayed’ which harmonizes with the UAE's 47th National Day, the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) will issue a memorial silver one Dirham coin and a Dh100 certified receipt with "Year of Zayed" logo. 

Arrival of the memorial cash pay tribute to the life of the UAE  establishing father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the pivotal role he had in establishing the UAE, Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) said.

 

"It is imperative to honor the Zayed Centenary and recognise his essential contribution to the ascent and advancement of the UAE. These commemorative versions mirror the soul of the UAE's and feature the general population's faithfulness to its Founding Father," Mubarak Rashid Al Mansouri, Governor of CBUAE says.

The Central Bank will issue 5,000 silver memorial coins gauging 60 grams each. The front of the coin will include the logo and the “Year of Zayed – 1918-2018”, while the back will have the expression  “Commemorative Coin” and the ostensible estimation of "100 Dirhams". 

The Central Bank will likewise release the memorial Dirhams. The back of the coin will highlight the “Year of Zayed 1918-2018” while the front will stay unaltered. 


The silver dedicatory coin will be accessible available for sale at the Central Bank main office and branches, while the memorial coin and the uncommon version Dh100 banknote will be brought into course according to the frequently established procedures.
