The van, carrying seven people, crashed on Sheikh Rashid Road before the Garhoud tunnel.

Brigadier Ali Ahmad Abdulla Ghanim, director of Al Muraqabat Police Station, said they received information about the accident around 9:42am. The van veered off the road after one of its tyres exploded, and crashed into a barrier and hit a lamp post.
