Dilip Kumar to be kept under observation for 2 days, doctors say he's stable

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday evening after he suffered dehydration, hospital sources said. "He was admitted with dehydration. He is stable," Ravishankar, CEO of the facility said.

 

According to family members, the superstar was admitted for dehydration and urine infection. He will be kept under observation for at least two days. The antibiotics will be administered to him through an IV drip, for this, he will be accommodated in the ICU. After observation, he will be brought back to his room, where he was originally admitted.

The 94-year-old actor, who has been weak and ailing due to age-related problems in recent years, was accompanied by his wife Saira Banu. Last seen on the big screen in 'Qila' in 1998, the actor was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
