More Chinese Tourists Travelling To North Korea In Spite Of Political Tension

Tensions have been continually rising between Pyongyang and Washington causing ripples across the globe. Amidst the intense political situation, tourists from China are flooding through immigration checkpoint at Dandong.

Tourist busses are always waiting at the North Korea side, and a hoard of tourist activities are planned for their stay.

The tourists seem to be drawn to North Korea to see how the people live there. It’s the lifestyle of the people that ignites curiosity in the Chinese tourists.

Concerns have been expressed about North Korea’s consistent missile testing in last few months. Tough new sanctions have been imposed on Pyongyang by the United Nations Security Council this Saturday.

The US President Donald Trump had recently issued a serious warning to North Korea stating that they would face serious “fire and fury” if they threatened the US again. However, North Korea dismissed the warnings and said it was a “load of nonsense”, in addition, an outlined plan was delivered on a missile strike near the Pacific territory of Guam.

According to the tour operators, the travel and tour industry is still prevailing in spite of the political tensions.  Targeting wealthier and more adventurous travelers has fetched them more inquiries in the recent weeks about the safety of the tour.
