Trump has previously taken to Twitter to mock the hermit kingdom and regards North Korea as America’s “greatest threat”, CNN reported.
Urging China to help them fight Kim, Trump reportedly told a Chinese official last week: “You gotta work on North Korea”.
Shortly after the New Year, a spokesman for the North Korea’s foreign ministry vowed to unleash an IBCM “anytime and anywhere determined by the supreme headquarters of the DPRK”.
Last month, the hermit kingdom’s newest type of missile, the Pukguksong-2 was tested.
Lance Gatling, a defence analyst and president of Tokyo-based Nexial Research Inc revealed the missile was a “game changer” as it is more efficient and harder to detect.
