7 Qualities of Muslims that Allah loves the most

It is said that Allah loves his slave 70 times more than a mother. When Allah is pleased with his slave he loves him and then everything in the universe starts loving that person.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “If Allah loves a person, He calls Gabriel saying, ‘Allah loves so and-so; O Gabriel! Love him.' Gabriel would love him and make an announcement amongst the inhabitants of the Heaven.

‘Allah loves so-and-so, therefore you should love him also,' and so all the inhabitants of the Heaven would love him, and then he is granted the pleasure of the people on the earth.’ – Sahih al-Bukhari 3209

We do not worship Allah or please him only for the desire of paradise but also in times when we are depressed or feeling blessed. A person also worships Allah out of fear of His punishment and for His mercy and forgiveness.

We should always strive to please Allah with our actions because that is the only way to be successful in this life and the hereafter.  We can attain Allah’s love by adopting these 7 qualities:

1-Repentance: “Indeed Allah loves those who are constantly repentant.” Holy Quran 2:222

This means to turn back to Allah constantly and purify yourself knowing that He is the greatest of all and most-forgiving, the pardoner, the acceptor of the repentance. Allah loves such a person no matter how much sins he has committed.

2-Allah’s consciousness: It is said in the Holy Quran; Allah loves the righteous (who fears him) – Holy Quran 09:04

A person who loves Allah always do what Allah has commanded him and abstain from what Allah has prohibited, it is Called Taqwa, it helps a person to gain Allah’s love and prevent himself from the hellfire.

3-Purification: “Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves.” – Holy Quran 2:222

Allah loves his slaves who purify themselves from all the impurities. It also means to purify your soul from all major and minor sins and Shirk.

4-Trust in Allah: “Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him]”. – Holy Quran 3:159

Allah loves those who rely on Him. We should have deep trust in Allah, for example, in a Hadith narrated by Umar bin Khattab, Prophet PBUH said, if you were to rely upon Allah with the required reliance so he would provide for you just a bird is provided with, it goes out empty stomach in the morning and return full in the evening. – Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2344

If Allah is providing the food to the bird he will definitely provide us. We should have trust in Him. This doesn’t stand for us to sit lazily or do nothing. It means we should contribute our work with honesty and trust in Him as he is the best Provider.

5-Patience: “And Allah loves the steadfast.” – Holy Quran 03:146

Indeed, Allah is with the patient. One should always have faith in Allah and patience. Patience is of three types.

A-The first one is a suffering person does not complain or feel despair but accept every situation as the will of Allah and bears all the difficulties with patience.

B-The second type of patience is to do what Allah has commanded a person. We can take the example of fasting. A person should always fast in Ramdhan with patience especially when the days are hot and long.

C-The third one is to show patience while abstaining yourself from all that Allah has prohibited.
