10. Beauty And The Beast: Beast Doesn’t Exist

Recently a strange Beauty and the Beast theory has emerged which claims that the Beast doesn’t exist – “After watching Beauty and the Beast for the millionth time with my 3-year-old, I’ve come to the conclusion that there is no Beast.”

According to the theory, the Beast and Gaston share similar characteristics: both are violent and ill-mannered. Belle’s father, Maurice, marries Belle off to Gaston and Belle immediately starts fantasizing about reforming her husband – “Belle and Gaston are married immediately, and the entire rest of the film is Belle’s fantasy of reforming her violent, tempestuous husband into a well-mannered Prince. […] The violence that happens to Maurice is a result of Belle’s mixed feelings toward him for marrying her off.”

9. 13 Reasons Why: Tony Is A Ghost

The TV show 13 Reasons Why has resulted in millions of fan theories. However, there is one theory that stands out from the rest – the theory that Tony is a ghost, or more specifically, a guardian angel.

So what evidence is there that Tony is a guardian angel? Well, first of all, he dresses like a teenager from the 1950’s and thus some fans now believe that Tony is a ghost of a student who died in 1955 and is, for some reason, stuck roaming the halls of Liberty High School forever.

Secondly, and probably most importantly, Tony’s role in the show resembles that of a guardian angel: he keeps Hannah’s tapes and then distributes them after she dies, fulfilling her last wish in the process.
