3.Ignore them
The biggest mistake anyone makes when dealing with a manipulative person is trying to change or correct them. By attempting to do so, you sink deeper into their trap. Eventually, they will use confusion and frustration, resulting from your effort to correct them, to draw into your conflict. So that they can get you emotional and find out the things that trigger you, which will they use to influence you later on. The best strategy is simply to delete them from your life.
However, "if you can’t delete them right away, like if they’re a boss, coworker, or family member, agree with what they say and then go do your own thing anyway", says Dr. Isaiah Hankel.
