Authority rules out tsunami in Oman due to quake

An earthquake in Owen fracture zone region recorded at 4.36 MCT will not result in a tsunami hitting Oman, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation has said. 

 

The quake measured 5.0 on the Richter scale and had a depth of 10 kilometres. The statement from PACA said, No potential tsunami due to an earthquake in Owen Fracture Zone Region at 04:36 MCT with magnitude 5.0 and depth 10 km.”
