Lady Guard Shows Act Of Kindness Through Helping Passengers Off Faulty MRT Train

A lady guard has shown another act of kindness through helping the offload passengers from the faulty MRT train.

Nowadays, most of the Filipino people rely on public transportation enduring the hardships and inconvenience along the way just to reach their destinations.

Around 6:30 am on Tuesday (February 20, 2018), the Metro Manila Rail Transit System (MRT-3) broke down leaving the passengers no choice but to get off the train.

MRT-3 suffered from an electrical failure between Shaw and Ortigas station, which prompted the passengers to walk going back to Ortigas station.

The defective train was brought back to the depot for repair and its operation resumed around 7:20 am.

However, despite the inconvenience, one of the female security guards helped some of the offload passengers to go back to the previous station.

The photo of the kind lady guard assisting an elderly woman who had a difficulty in walking through the railings of the train goes viral after it was posted online.

Unfortunately, several social media users can’t contain their anger over the government’s inability to immediately address the recurring problems with the MRT.

Here are some of the comments:

Filipinos Dos Tres: “It would be a nightmare. But I think the best solution would be close the MRT for a period of time (a year probably?) and fix all trains railways and signalling system. it needs total overhaul to avoid this kinds of problems that the MRT is facing.”

Lynnie Rocaberte Renacia: “ABS-CBN camera men are really the best at taking pictures im not being sarcastic here, i really appreciate the photo, because it speaks a thousand words…and its up to the viewer on how they interpret the photo…hahaha mema lang pero….”

John Mark Rafols: “The photo talks not only of duty and service it’s actually bringing back humanity on its place. It doesn’t mean you are a uniformed and armed person simply means you got the power in your hands- it also has its limits. Let’s not talk of the differences and problems that heats most everyone of us. Let’s see the goodness one has to bring to the other”
