Roxanne Barcelo, Will Devaughn break up

Former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemates Roxanne Barcelo and Will Devaughn have ended their relationship of over four years, the actress confirmed Wednesday.

The "Wildflower" antagonist admitted the breakup on the sidelines of the press conference for the nearing finale of the hit primetime series.

Barcelo, 33, said she and Devaughn parted ways in December. She did not give a specific reason behind the split, but offered, "It's little things na nagpapatong-patong, na hindi mo na lang mapapansin."

"Four years kami. Four and a half. It was the best relationship I've ever been in, and he is the best man I've ever met, but at some point we fell apart," she said.

Crediting their maturity as individuals, Barcelo said, "Hindi kami nag-blame ng isa't-isa, hindi na kami dumating doon."

She explained: "It was more of, admittedly, we both have our pagkukulang sa isa't-isa, we could have done better. We really have different paths na we want to grow, independently and individually."

The former teen star, however, shared that they remain in good terms, and are in fact "best friends," as they still manage to get together minus the romantic ties.

"Alam lang namin na best friends kami until now," she said. "So if you see us out, it's not because we're still romantic with each other, but we're really going back to the friendship. Binabalik lang namin kung ano kami naging una, bago naging kami."

Barcelo also dispelled rumors that Devaughn, with whom she also co-starred in "I Found My Heart in Santa Fe" last year, had been financially dependent on her, which was supposedly a factor in the breakup.

"He's very financially stable to be honest," she said, pointing out that the fashion model currently has four businesses with partners. "Hindi lang siya visible sa showbiz as much, but he's also signing with another network very soon. He's very much stable as a foreigner in the Philippines."

Asked for her reaction to being recently spotted on a date with a new man, Barcelo did confirm that she currently has suitors.

"But at this point in time, I'm not ready to commit muna. If in a few months, I feel different... Hopefully mabuhay ulit. I'm taking in love, but I cannot give love yet," she said.

Barcelo was candid in answering whether it's possible she would get back together with Devaughn. She cited the situation of her "Wildflower" co-star Zsa Zsa Padilla, who managed to rekindle her relationship with her partner, Conrad Onglao, after having broken up.

"You never know," Barcelo said. "Ayoko tuldokan, but at the same time I really want to focus on making myself happy and whole, by myself muna."
