A boy was expelled for committing indecent acts at a school in Dubai.

The Ministry of Education said that the boy, a student at a public school, had filmed himself while kissing a younger boy. He posted the footage on social media, which immediately went viral. 

Parents and guardians were outraged at the incident and demanded the perpetrator be disciplined. 

After conducting a thorough investigation, the ministry revealed that the incident took place some time ago. The student was expelled as he committed a level four infraction as per the UAE's regulations for student conduct. 

Any student found committing one of 10 offenses, including sexual abuse, within school grounds, will face immediate expulsion.

The regulations stipulate a number of disciplinary actions in response to such violations: 

1- The student's guardian will be summoned immediately

2- Action will be taken to rectify the violation via concerned parties

3- Forming a disciplinary committee to adjudicate and decide on appropriate measures

4- Notifying the student guidance department of the necessary action

5- Suspending the student until investigations are concluded

6- Holding the student and student's guardian responsible for all damages incurred as a result of the infraction

7- Banning and suspending the student from enrolling in all other schools

8- Enforcing a home-school regimen on the student

9- Total expulsion when all disciplinary actions have been exhausted
