Dubai Health has secured the highest Level 10 rating in the international Epic Gold Stars programme for the second consecutive year. The achievement places the organisation among just 5% of healthcare institutions worldwide to receive this distinction. The recognition highlights Dubai's continued progress in digital healthcare and its efforts to improve patient experiences through advanced technology. Dubai Health achieved 94% of the programme's configuration criteria, demonstrating its effective use of electronic health records. The announcement was made during the Epic UGM 2026 event in Wisconsin, United States.
Electronic Health Records Support Better Patient Care
The Epic Gold Stars programme evaluates how effectively healthcare organisations use advanced electronic health record (EHR) technology. Dubai Health also achieved an 82% score in the programme's 'In Use' category, reflecting the adoption of advanced digital features by its clinical and operational teams. The Epic system helps healthcare professionals access patient information, coordinate medical services and manage clinical activities. More than 700 healthcare institutions worldwide use this platform. Level 10 represents the programme's highest available recognition.
Digital Services Improve Patient Experience
Dubai Health is expanding its digital services to make healthcare more convenient and accessible for patients. Its Dubai Health app provides hospital patients and people receiving emergency care with secure access to important medical information. Users can view medication details, daily schedules, educational resources and communicate with their healthcare teams. Another feature, Fast Pass, automatically offers earlier appointment opportunities when cancellations become available. These services aim to reduce waiting times and make the overall healthcare journey more convenient.
Artificial Intelligence Strengthens Healthcare Services
Dubai Health is also introducing generative artificial intelligence tools to support medical professionals in their daily work. Its AI-generated summaries help clinicians quickly review patients' medical histories, recent treatments and admission details. This technology supports informed clinical decisions while reducing the time required to review medical information. The organisation plans to continue developing its digital healthcare ecosystem in line with its broader artificial intelligence strategy. The latest recognition reflects its ongoing efforts to combine technology, medical expertise and patient-focused services.
