If there's one thing we love more than cheese, it's a whole festival of the stuff – so it looks like this event tonight (Monday May 14) is going to be a brie-lliant evening.
JLT bar Axe House is hosting a night filled with cheddar stations, grape pairings and all sorts of delicious fromage-filled fancies.

CheeseFestDXB promises to be the UAE's biggest cheese festival and is running from 5pm on Monday May 14.

The venue is offering guests a “grate” night (pun theirs, not ours) and it's going to be a popular one so booking is recommended.

If you need to relax after ingesting all that delightful dairy, there's going to be live acoustic music too.
We love Axe House's brilliant halloumi fries, so we're expecting good things.

Meanwhile, if you're looking for other great places for cheese across the city, there are plenty of options.

The 6abooga at Blaze Burger is the cheesiest we’ve ever had the pleasure of encountering.

Not only is it stuffed with cheese (you heard correctly) but it’s encased in two grilled cheese sarnies.

Or you could try the cheese manakish at Mantoushe – which is very much a breakfast of champions.

We’ve searched far and wide throughout the city to find the very best manakish and this is up there with our favourites.

The perfectly charred, not too thick bread, the gooey, tangy akkawi... we’re having cheese dreams just thinking about it.

Slather it in guacmous (it’s a thing) and that’s your morning brightened up for under Dhs30.

Or if you want a whole bowl of the stuff, then head for Après and try the fondue.
