Dubai announces holiday for Eid Al Adha

The human resources department of the Dubai government on Monday announced a five-day holiday for Eid Al Adha for local authorities.

Holidays will begin on Sunday, August 19, and last until Thursday, August 23. Work will resume on Sunday, August 26. Some government agencies will have unusual work timings according to the nature of the service offered.

The human resources department wished glad tidings to the UAE's leaders and its people for the festive occasion.

Effectively, government departments in the emirate will enjoy a nine-day holiday, if one were to combine the weekends.
