Etihad cancels Abu Dhabi-Hong Kong flight due to super typhoon

Etihad Airways flight EY834, scheduled to operate from Abu Dhabi to Hong Kong on Saturday, September 15, has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions as Super Typhoon Mangkhut nears Hong Kong on September 16.

As a result, the inbound service, EY833 on September 16, from Hong Kong to Abu Dhabi, has also been cancelled.

Guests booked on these flights are being assisted with their travel arrangements and being rebooked onto the next available flights, an Etihad spokesperson said.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this cancellation has caused, and we remain committed to offering the highest level of service to our guests. As always, safety remains the airline's number one priority," the spokesperson added.

Passengers have been advised to call the Etihad Airways Contact Centre at +971 (0) 2599 0000.
